Homeowner Associations - Corruption's New Frontier in America!

| Washington, District of Columbia - Twenty-five years ago a group of California's corrupt CAI lawyers conspired behind closed doors to write the Davis Stirling Act , California's Homeowner Association laws. The intent of these "laws" was to strip California homeowners of their Constitutional rights and to steal their properties and the equity within them
Almost overnight, these property thieving laws made these corrupt CAI lawyers multimillionaires. Their partners in crime were judges (regular and rental), politicians, lobbyists, managers and "experts".
The property stealing business is now institutionalized in California government, its courts, law schools, as well as insurance companies.
Lawyers who in the past charged $50 an hour, now charge $250,$350, even $600 an hour to "speak" to citizens. Judges on $100,000 plus payrolls are routinely bribed with junkets and "favors", and "retire" into rental judging at $400 - $650 an hour. On an annual basis, that can exceed $1 million - and they receive their taxpayer-funded pensions to boot!
Lawyers lie routinely in the government court rooms, and judges conspire with them and use the police to fine, jail, strip search, and shake down innocent homeowners .
Dictatorships and corruption are almost impossible to stamp out in the California government. After 25 years of victimization, Californians ousted their ruthless governor Gray Davis, only to get Arnold Schwarznegger with a far more insatiable apetite for political "contributions". Out of the frying pan, into the fire!
It is a Crime against Humanity to steal properties and their equity, and to then share this bounty as "political contributions". This has been happening in California for more than 25 years and is a classic example of the abuse of power by a powerful goverment. It created homeowner associations and imprisoned Californians in them.
However, even though they may be paralyzed and frightened, citizens continue to pen their realizations and record the history of yet another band of robbers operating the levers of power in the government of California.

My top ten homeowner association complaints are:
1. Inept, petty, corrupt, and abusive board members.
2. Apathetic and easily intimidated homeowners who refuse to read their CC&Rs, and learn their rights.
3. Homeowners who refuse to attend board meetings, don't assert themselves and don't vote.
4. Homeowners who continually mutter complaints but do nothing, and simply play the helpless victims.
5. Homeowner association lawyers, staff, and board members who know full well that the meek shall not inherit the earth -- but that they will, using fines, liens, and forclosures.
6. Continuously mismanaged and stolen funds.
7. The growing nationwide Homeowner Association epidemic, and lack of government responsibility for protective infrastructure provided by property taxes.
8. The disappearance of independent living, true land ownership, aesthetic choice, and quality construction.
