AN OPEN LETTER TO SENATOR BARACK OBAMA

February 23, 2008

By Wendy Clardy (View author info)

Columbus, Ohio, Ohio -

My name is Wendy Clardy, a leader, and coordinator of AHRC Homeowners for Barack Obama.

On February 22, 2008, I was invited by the Clintons and Columbus State Community College (CSCC) to attend her campaign. Hillary came to CSCC to hear our concerns here in Columbus, Ohio about the employment, insurance, economic and housing failures that exist in Columbus. I was asked to appear, among others that were invited to tell our testimonies at Hillary Clinton's campaign. I was told I was selected by Bill Clinton.

I talked about my personal experience as a victim to predatory lending services that ultimately fraudulently foreclosed on my home. Through my experience I was speaking for all the homeowners, for thousands of victimized homeowners that have lost their homes right here in Ohio. Both the national and local media was there. I spoke for the millions of victimized American homeowners.

I made sure I touched on subjects concerning the Banks, the Institutions, Judges, the Lawyers, and Securitization of our mortgages collectively and generally, and how it affected not just me, but also our families and children, one of my children had tried to commit suicide while we were in the midst of losing our home. I spoke about how I was forced to become my own attorney, because no lawyer here in Columbus, Ohio would help me. The media was sought, but it did not go the way I expected it.

I talked about, in general, of our judicial system being corrupt, and that the people here in Columbus, Ohio are afraid of our judicial system. After I was asked by the Clinton campaign to appear, I informed them that I am a member of the media so did not appear on the stage with the other four invitees. I was positioned in the front row of the stadium with the media and officials and Senator Clinton called on me to speak.

I am a reporter and the editor of Ohio Homeowners News associate branch of American Homeowners Resource Center, and AHRC News Services. We have an interactive publishing, networking and communications site that advocate, inspire, educate, and share resources for homeowners. Homeowners who are being victimized by the system that should be protecting them have nowhere to go for help. They have no avenue to speak, and no one will listen. I proposed a direct question that would have required Hillary to give me a direct response; perhaps she thought that a direct answer would not have been popular. I asked Senator Hillary Clinton, if she was elected our president would she turn her back on the homeowners?

I asked her if she would send representatives "down here" to oversee and protect the people. The people are afraid of the judicial system. Hillary answered in general instead. However, my question to you Senator Obama is why did you not see me and pick me to speak my testimonies at your campaign, when I was already campaigning for you in Ohio.

How were Hillary and Bill able to find me and use me to speak on behalf of millions of homeowner foreclosure victims at their campaign? I was talking to a few people as to how this happened to me, and this is what they said: "you know how men are...he feels that he already got you?" That's a heck of a statement to say about you, Senator Obama (:

My request to you Senator Obama is before I vote for you, I would like to have a personal interview with you to tell you about my story of how I was victimized by predators on higher levels so that it may be televised to help thousands of victimized homeowners who have lost their homes and maybe some serious change can happen for our American homeowners. In addition, I would like to have the opportunity to introduce the same questions that I proposed to Senator Hillary Clinton, and I need to hear a direct answer from you, as this will allow me to make the right decision, and to vote properly.

There are millions of homeowners that have lost their homes and the homeowners need to know and feel safer by knowing the laws are being upheld, and forced by the members of the corporations and by the members of the judiciary systems, and the law enforcements.
