Gentlemen:
We are writing this to support the letter of Jess Martinez to you.
We have received a number of reports from homeowners about the disastrous way his former attorney handled them as well. She left them all financially devastated.
While we recognize that Travelers Insurance would like to recoup all the monies that it spent on this case, we also hope that Travelers will keep the entire situation in mind. We understand that Mr. Martinez has offered to pay $19,000 of the $30,000 fees ordered by the court to your attorneys. This is certainly not an inconsiderable sum.
Our nationwide membership has followed this case closely. I am sure that it would put Travelers into a very favorable position in these homeowners' eyes, if Travelers were to accept Mr. Martinez's offer and close the book on this very unfortunate case. We would certainly highlight such an action by Travelers to our members.
Thank you for your consideration, and we would appreciate any favorable news on the outcome of this case.
Sincerely
The Editors
