We have been wondering how we can get the message about the HOA nightmare situation across in a large way to people in a position to help. To our knowledge, Taffy and Andy Rice are the only ones who came close by creating a national database submitted to Washington showing all the homeowners who are having serious issues with their HOAs, but it looks like that got put in the circular file.
Some people might suggest a march in Washington but it could be hard economically for people who are losing their homes and life savings to travel and also physically hard for elderly homeowners.
We are wondering if we were all to send letters to members of congress and the senate and other organizations on a specified date so that they will get millions of complaints at one time that will be hard to ignore would help.
A really important thing would be to put a label on the front and back of the envelope saying something like "Stop homeowner association abuse of the elderly". Or "Stop homeowner associations from stealing our homes!"
It would be also be very important to spell out HOA so everyone reading knows what we mean. So that everyone whose path crosses with this letter gets to know what it's about without even opening the envelope.
We were going to suggest a date after April 15th because of the tax mail, but with AHRC being threatened we need to get the message out to everyone as soon as possible.
We're going to put this out in the general AHRC area soon also but after seeing this threat to the website we thought we should mention this now.
We have written everyone we can think of in the country and would be happy to share our mailing list on AHRC, if there are parties not on our list maybe others can write and share what they have.

I wish you would provide some simple mechanism by means of which we could express our support, such as a petition that we could sign on to electronically.

Fellow Texas AHRC members: Now is the time to be thinking of a legal defense fund.
Let's put our heads together through our existing email address correspondance. Or, those of you whom I have talked to over the telephone please call.

Dear AHRC,
I am a mediator in both the Orange County and LS Superior Court systems. I don't always agree with AHRC, but I believe that you do provide a needed service for homeowners. How can I help? How can we contact Commissioner Jane Meyers to help apply pressure to keep the website open?
Thanks,

I wrote a reply Jordan Fogal
We no longer have seventh amendment rights and now big business wants us to be robbed of our first amendment rights too. Why do they want to shut down a web sight for telling the truth?
Maybe they do not want the public to know the truth. Soon we the people will have no rights at all. We will not even be a government of or by the people. We will live in the land of the haves and the havenots.
Please google my name for more on rights you no longer have...
